Rescue package for start-ups in Baden-Württemberg

The State Government of Baden-Württemberg is putting together a rescue package for start-ups.

As a first step they are providing €25 million in bridge financing to support early-stage businesses based in Baden-Württemberg who are encountering difficulties due to the Corona pandemic.

Start-Up BW Pro-Tect is structured in a similar way to Start-Up BW Pre-Seed. You’ll find more detailed information in the videos on this page.

The programme is being rolled out by the usual Start-Up BW Pre-Seed partners, including innoWerft.

If you meet certain conditions, you can apply for a convertible loan of up to a maximum of €200 thousand:

  • You are a tech start-up with very high growth potential.
  • Your start-up is less than 5 years old
  • You have real financial problems due to the Corona pandemic – whether because your subsequent funding is delayed or your cash flow is drying up or…

If you need help and think your start-up meets the above criteria, you can apply for Start-Up BW Pro-Tect using the form below. Please do not email or call us – we will get in touch with you either way, we promise.

We check your application. If it’s a good fit, we invite you to a video pitch. If you’re not familiar with Start-Up BW Pre-Seed, we can answer all your questions about the programme in advance, so you can see if it’s right for you. Please also have a look at the info videos on this page!

If we still feel you’re a good fit, we suggest you for a pitch with representatives of the Ministry of Economics of the State of Baden-Württemberg. They then decide whether your start-up should receive BW Pro-Tect.
